Moving into Fall on the Farm

Happy Fall, ya’ll!

I think it’s safe to say that we’ve started that gradual cooling from summer to fall…with morning temperatures even dipping into the high 40’s in the coming week.  For farmers, our eyes will be on the First Frost date, usually in mid-October…with big implications for getting last crops harvested and overwintering crops planted.

For the next few weeks, we’ll all be enjoying the glorious colors of Fall and the abundance of late summer – tomatoes, basil, sunflowers, zinnias, Dahlias, onions, potatoes, and kale.  Coming soon, Delicata squash, pumpkins, butternut squash, and leeks.

The Farm Store is now open every Friday through Sunday, 9-6.  Hope to see you soon!
